When thinking of  New Year’s Resolutions,  Make a  “better overall skin care” resolution list. …Think of it as an investment in your skin. Take some time for your skin, get yourself content and watch as your skin changes. .. Start 2014 with these New Years Resolutions for Beautiful and Healthy Skin.

Add These Resolutions To Your List To Ensure A Beautiful You In 2014…

Resolution #1 Commit To a Skin-Care Routine
Having a skin care routine in place using proven quality skin products (we suggest Jan Marini Skin Care Management System MD) is the key to beautiful skin

Resolution #2 Practice TLC For Your Skin
1. Avoid hot baths and showers since this will dehydrate skin.
2. Never tug or pull on your skin when cleansing or removing makeup.
3. Gently pat your skin dry and leave some moisture behind for a hydration boost.

Resolution #3 Protect Your Skin
Invest in a quality sunscreen that is 30 SPF or higher this year. Use every day because UV rays can harm your skin even on cold or cloudy days.

Resolution #4 Eat Food that is Good For Your Skin
It’s not a secret that good skin starts from within. Eat lots of fruits (berries in particular) and vegetables that are rich in antioxidant. Green tea (rich source of antioxidant) and the intake of omega-3 fatty acids (found in flax seed, salmon) will also help your skin look great

Resolution #5 Work Out
Did you know that working out also helps your skin? Work out at least 3x a week for a natural glowing complexion.

Resolution #6 Clean Your Cell Phone, Makeup Brushes, Regularly

  • Did you know that there are 25,000 germs per square inch on the average cell phone? We recommend cleaning your phone at least once a week. To clean your cell phone, just use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball .
  • Makeup Brushes should be cleaned at least one a month.  Having clean makeup brushes is vital to the health of your skin. Cleaning them will also make them softer which will ensure you wont have “scratchy” brushes from makeup buildup that can be abrasive to your skin.

Resolution #7 Make Sure to Get Your Beauty (Or Handsome) Rest
Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. And during the day, allow yourself to have periodic “time-outs” with quiet times for refocusing and if needed – for de-stressing! If we don’t get the proper amount of rest, we end up wearing it!
